Jon J. Hanlon, M.D.

Jon J. Hanlon, M.D.
Board-certified in orthopedic surgery, Jon J. Hanlon, M.D., has extensive experience in treating hand and upper extremity problems, including, but not limited to: nerve problems (such as carpal/cubital tunnel syndromes and nerve lacerations), tendonitis, tendon lacerations, fractures joint replacement surgery, hand, wrist and elbow arthritis. A Fellow of the American Association of Hand Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Hanlon is listed in Strathmore’s “Who’s Who” and is named in the Guide to America’s Top Orthopedists, 2010 edition.

Dr. Hanlon received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He continued his medical training in the United States Navy in San Diego, where he completed his internship, orthopedic surgery residency programs, and an additional year’s subspecialty fellowship in hand surgery. After serving nine years of active duty in the Navy, Dr. Hanlon established his own orthopedic and hand surgery practice in Southern California.

As a member of the orthopedic trauma team in the Level I Trauma Center at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital in Orange County, Calif., Dr. Hanlon treated patients with hand and upper extremity problems, as well as those with multiple and serious general orthopedic injuries. He also served as chairman for the Orthopedic Department of the Naval Regional Medical Center in Long Beach, Calif., and the Orthopedic Committee of the Fountain Valley Regional Hospital. Upon relocating to the Valley, Dr. Hanlon served as the hand and upper extremity surgeon at the prestigious Orthopedic Subspecialty Group.
